This Privacy Policy explains how The Fire Starter Dude (thefirestarterdude.com) collects and uses information when you visit the site or place a reservation. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of thefirestarterdude.com, identified in the “Who operates this site” section below.

1. Information we collect.

• Information you give us: your name and email when you reserve.
• Payment information: handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; we keep only limited identifiers (such as a Stripe customer reference) needed to run the reservation and, if you purchase, the sale.
• Usage and device information (automatic): pages viewed, clicks, device/browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and similar analytics.
• Session recordings: we use session replay, which records on-site interactions (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, navigation) to help us improve the experience. Because you enter your name, email, and card details on Stripe’s own checkout page — not on our site — those details are never captured by our recordings.

2. How we use information. To process and confirm your reservation; to invite you to purchase and process that purchase if we reach 500; to send transactional and campaign emails (reservation confirmation, “we reached 500,” “we didn’t reach 500,” shipping updates); to operate, analyze, and improve the site; and to comply with law.

3. Service providers we share with. Stripe (payment processing); Supabase (database/storage of reservation and order data); Vercel (website hosting); PostHog (product analytics and session replay); Resend (transactional and campaign email); Mux/Vimeo (video hosting, if used). We do not sell your personal information.

4. Email. When you reserve, we send transactional emails about your reservation and the campaign.

5. Cookies and session recording. We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics. We also use session replay to record on-site interactions to help us improve the site; you can turn off session recording at any time using the link in the footer.

6. Data retention. We keep reservation and order information for as long as needed to run the campaign, fulfill purchases, and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it.

7. Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these, email contact@thefirestarterdude.com.

8. Data security. We use reasonable measures and rely on our providers’ security (for example, Stripe for payment data). No system is perfectly secure.

9. International users. We operate from the United States and process data there. Accessing the site from outside the US means you consent to that transfer.

10. Children. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes. We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Material changes are posted on thefirestarterdude.com.
